Thanks for signing up!

This month, Free Press is celebrating our 15th birthday. And we have so much to be grateful for.

Thanks to you — our supporters, allies and more than 1.4 million members — the Free Press story includes a long and impressive list of victories. From fighting for Net Neutrality and taking on media moguls to resisting mass surveillance and finding new ways to strengthen local news, our milestones are your milestones.

Let's keep going! Together we’ll envision what a transformed media could look like and how technology can improve people’s lives — and we’ll fight side by side to make it happen.

Here are 15 ways you can help fuel this huge wave of change:

  1. Share our 15-year timeline of big wins on social media and tag Free Press and #freepress15. The more people who know about and join with us, the more power we’ll wield for the fights ahead.

  2. Make a gift of $5, $15, $150 — or any amount — to keep us going strong. (We refuse to take a cent from business, government or political parties, so your support makes a real and lasting difference.)

  3. Post your “Happy Birthday Free Press!” video wish or message on social media and tag #freepress15, or send it to fp15@freepress.net and we’ll include it on our “Happy Birthday Free Press!” page. (Facebook videos and Instagram accounts need to be public for us to see and include them.)

  4. Get involved in our campaigns and add your voice to crucial debates about Net Neutrality, dangerous mergers, press freedom, racism in the media and more.

  5. Raise Free Press’ visibility by posting a positive review of our work on Great Nonprofits. It only takes a minute!

  6. Dust off those vocal chords and take part in our #callyourrep4thenet karaoke challenge. It’s seriously fun — and keeps the heat on lawmakers to restore the Net Neutrality protections.

  7. Follow us on social media to stay in the loop about our campaigns and related news developments. We're on Facebook at facebook.com/freepress, on Twitter at @freepress and on Instagram at freepressaction.

  8. Round up your spare change for Free Press by downloading the MyChange app and selecting Free Press Action Fund as the recipient for your extra pennies, nickels and dimes. Every bit helps — a lot.

  9. Help us take down the T-Mobile/Sprint merger, the latest mammoth deal we’re opposing.

  10. Got a birthday of your own coming up? Ask friends and family to make a contribution to Free Press Action Fund in your honor.

  11. Donate to Free Press or Free Press Action Fund through your workplace-matching program, Just Give or Network for Good.

  12. Listen to our brand-new podcast, The Connection.

  13. Tell the FCC to stop its war on the poor and leave Lifeline alone.

  14. Watch our new Welcome to Free Press video, share on social and tag Free Press (Twitter: @freepress / Instagram: @freepressaction / Facebook: Free Press).

  15. Become our newest monthly sustainer. Monthly contributions provide an essential and reliable source of funds that keep us going strong day after day.

We’re so grateful to all of our members for signing petitions, making phone calls, meeting with lawmakers, writing letters to the editor, participating in protests and mobilizing activists in their communities. You are the heart of our work.

And we owe everything to our donors, monthly sustainers and foundation funders who make our work — and independence — possible. Your generosity and partnership are fueling the fight for the just and equitable media people need and deserve.

Thanks for making this journey possible. Here’s to the next 15 years!
