Join Us in Demanding Accountability for Brendan Carr
As his war with Iran escalates, Trump has taken to lashing out on Truth Social about mainstream-media coverage of the conflict. Sure enough, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr — Trump’s wannabe censor — has responded to these diatribes by threatening to pull broadcast licenses from news outlets that don’t simply parrot White House propaganda about the war.
Brendan Carr must go.
Time and time again, the public has witnessed FCC Chairman Brendan Carr violating his oath to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. Trump’s top censor has repeatedly weaponized his agency’s authority to intimidate broadcasters and bully other media outlets to toe the White House line … or else.
His efforts to censor and control the media undermine the First Amendment freedoms enjoyed by news outlets, broadcasters and others attempting to call out government lies and speak truth to power. Chairman Carr is far too willing to destroy the Fourth Estate and corrupt the FCC to keep the White House happy.
A healthy democracy relies on a free press. Brendan Carr is unfit for duty and must answer for his corruption.
