Tell the FCC: No More Media Consolidation

At the direction of Trump loyalist Brendan Carr, the FCC is racing to raise the national broadcast-ownership cap. This would allow a few media conglomerates to own even more local stations and expand their control over the news and information that’s beamed into nearly every American household. This would drastically reduce the diversity of stories and journalists on the air.

Stop media consolidation. Demand that the FCC retain the national broadcast-ownership cap.

To FCC Commissioners:

I oppose the FCC’s proposed elimination of the national broadcast-ownership cap because it will lead to even more media consolidation. This would reduce my access to diverse viewpoints and civic information in my local media market, undermining free speech and democracy.

Do not loosen media-ownership limits.
