Cristina leads Free Press’ marketing and communications department in developing and executing winning campaigns, setting effective strategy and partnering on building narrative.

Cristina leads Free Press’ marketing and communications department in developing and executing winning campaigns, setting effective strategy and partnering on building narrative. She’s run progressive national communication shops for more than a decade, working to advance racial and gender justice with a special interest in how media intersects with it all.

In addition, she’s a cultural critic of some regard as a regular contributor to Roger Ebert, a TEDx speaker and a Sundance Press Inclusion Initiative recipient. She’s also the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Latina Media Co, an indie publication platforming Latina and queer Latinx perspectives in media. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she can often be found at her local library, independent movie theater or outside playing in the high desert with her family.
