Tell Congress: Protect Press Freedom Now

FBI agents raided Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson’s home and seized her computers and journalistic materials. This is exactly the kind of government intrusion the First Amendment was designed to prevent.

We’re demanding that Congress call on Attorney General Bondi to testify, pass the PRESS Act and reform the Espionage Act so journalists aren’t treated like spies. Add your name.

To Congress:

The FBI’s raid on Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson’s home and the seizure of her journalistic materials is a direct assault on the First Amendment. This cannot stand.

We urge you to: Call Attorney General Pam Bondi before Congress to answer for this invasion; reintroduce and pass the PRESS Act to protect journalists from government overreach; reform the Espionage Act so reporters and whistleblowers are not treated like spies; and introduce a resolution confirming that the First Amendment protects the recording of public law-enforcement activities.

A free press is essential to democracy. We’re counting on you to defend it.
