Nilda engages Free Press’ members, allies and the broader public to stop media consolidation, hold our media accountable and ensure diverse voices are represented in the media. Previously, she worked at the National Hispanic Media Coalition, where she directed and created programs, initiatives and events that highlight Latinx talent in entertainment to foster greater diversity. She also coordinated NHMC’s entertainment-diversity advocacy efforts, which included producing an annual analysis of TV-network diversity data. Prior to NHMC, she worked at Orange County Head Start, Inc. as a family-services advocate. She holds a B.A. in sociology and Spanish from the University of San Diego. Nilda is a proud CuBoricuan who loves Mexican food, wine, reading, Netflix and running … after her two small children.
