Roy Mark
Vuze, the peer-to-peer entertainment platform that delivers high-definition streaming and downloading, is not happy with Cox Communications' plans to test new bandwidth management practices designed to slow traffic that isn't "time-sensitive" during periods of peak network usage.

Cox Cable Delaying Traffic: Comcast Revisited?

Full article: Vuze Blog
Jay Monahan
Cox Cable has announced that they'll be taking steps to classify different types of Internet traffic as "time-sensitive," and may delay certain traffic deemed "non-time-sensitive." Squarely on the list of non-time-sensitive is all traffic using peer-to-peer protocols. That includes all bittorrent applications.

Hey, Cox: Stop Trying to Play God with the Internet

Full article: PC World
J.R. Raphael
Cox Communications has revealed a new bandwidth management plan in which it will rank the importance of different kinds of Internet use, then limit the bandwidth of "low-priority" actions when its network gets congested. Is it just me, or is the trend of ISPs announcing God-like policies starting to get old?

Kelly M. Teal
Cox Communications is taking heat for its newly announced Internet management practices, which it soon will trial in parts of Kansas and Arkansas. The nation’s third-largest cable operator released a disclosure statement that outlined "a new method of managing traffic on our high-speed Internet network."

Cox Ready to Throttle P2P, Non-Time Sensitive Traffic

Full article: Ars Technica
Nate Anderson
It takes guts to wait until Comcast has been smacked down for singling out P2P, the Obama administration has come to power, and Michael Copps heads the FCC to roll out a new Internet traffic management system that delays only some kinds of content during moments of congestion. But that's exactly what Cox Cable has just announced.
