The Washington Post Company announced that it has signed a contract to sell &amp;lt;em&amp;gt;Newsweek&amp;lt;/em&amp;gt; to Sidney Harman. The deal ends almost a half century of ownership by the Washington Post Company, which bought &amp;lt;em&amp;gt;Newsweek&amp;lt;/em&amp;gt; in 1961.
