Beth Healy
The New York Times Co. said it has decided not to sell the Boston Globe, saying the paper’s financial performance had “significantly improved” in recent months.
For Sale: Boston Paper with Union

Full article: Wall Street Journal
Russell Adams
As the New York Times Co. grapples with declining revenue and heavy debt, a sale of its Boston Globe newspaper could be part of the answer. The Globe's largest union rejected concessions that the Times Co. said were necessary to save the paper, complicating that calculus.

Richard Perez-Pena
McClatchy, the nation's third-largest newspaper chain, has approached potential buyers for the Miami Herald. But there have been no serious offers for the paper, reflecting the evaporation of major investors' interest in buying newspapers.
