Brian Stelter
For the second time this summer, AT&T is fighting a carriage fee dispute in public days before a contract deadline. Gregory J. Wilcox
Time Warner Cable is embroiled in another fee dispute, this time with the Walt Disney Co., owner of ABC and ESPN networks and other popular channels. Brooks Barnes and Brian Stelter
Unlike the bitter disputes that have broken out between TV networks and cable operators -- Fox versus Time Warner Cable, ABC versus Cablevision -- the latest round of fee negotiations between the Walt Disney Company and Time Warner have, so far, been quite amicable.

Deadline Nears in Feud Over Fees for Fox

Brian Stelter
How much should the owner of Fox be paid by cable operators?
That's the question driving a feud between Fox's owner, News Corp., and one of the country's top cable carriers, Time Warner Cable. News Corp. is threatening to remove its Fox stations from the carrier's systems at the end of this week if it does not agree to pay sizable subscriber fees.

John Eggerton
There is nothing like constituents threatened with the loss of college football to get the attention of Congress. Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) took a break from the ongoing health care battle to write the heads of News Corp. and Time Warner Cable calling on them to resolve their carriage dispute before the first of the year, when the college bowl games begin.

Broadcasters Seek Cable-TV Fees

Full article: Wall Street Journal
Sam Schechner and Shira Ovide
TV-network owners News Corp. and CBS Corp. are pushing cable operators to pay monthly fees to carry their broadcast TV stations. Traditionally, broadcast networks haven't received cash fees from cable-TV providers. But broadcasters, struggling through an advertising slump, see a potential new stream of revenue by following the path of cable channels.
