Sarah Seltzer
Since the Occupy protests began, more and more members of the press have been arrested, harassed, or kept from covering evictions -- raising serious First Amendment alarm bells. Indeed, the U.S. has plummeted to 47th in the world for press freedoms thanks to the law enforcement reaction to those who cover the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Michael Powell
In late November, New York City Police Commissioner Raymond W. An international media freedom group urged North Korea to drop plans to put two detained U.S. reporters on trial, saying they face up to 10 years of forced labour if convicted. The pair, who work for Current TV in California, were working on a story about refugees fleeing the hardline communist North.
