A leading Hispanic organization has launched a campaign to pressure CNN to rein in host Lou Dobbs. Democracia Ahora released a report based on interviews with Hispanic leaders about the impact of Dobbs' show. The results are not surprising: 90 percent of interviewees believe Dobbs is helping to create a negative image of Hispanics with his frequent criticism of illegal immigration.

Yet the mainstream media have routinely spouted demeaning, sexist and racist language about Sotomayor instead of providing us with any substantive context or background about the judge.
