 <title>Faster Broadband Demands More Bandwidth</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;When it comes to broadband, a high fibre diet seems to increase customers&#039; appetite for bandwidth, a new report has found.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The study, by market development organisation the FTTH Council Europe, compared usage by consumers with FTTH (fibre to the home) with ADSL users across four European countries and found fibre homes currently drive three times more traffic than ADSL households.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Fiber Internet Overtakes Cable</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;For the first time, more people around the world are signing up for fiber-optic broadband service than for cable Internet service, according to a British research firm.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Fiber providers added 4.2 million customers in the first quarter, while 2.5 million customers signed up for cable modems, according to a report released last week by Point Topic.&lt;/p&gt;
