Sara Jerome
Full consensus may not be the end game of an effort by House Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) as he crafts a bill on Net Neutrality, according to House aides involved in the process. Anonymous sources said that they do not anticipate support from public interest groups, who have provided input during this process, no matter how the draft hashes out.

No FCC Rulemaking Authority on Latest Net Neutrality Bill

Eliza Krigman
The latest version of the House Net Neutrality bill will take away the FCC's rulemaking authority on the issue, according to a source familiar with the matter. The bill, which would be a huge victory for the carriers, would also prohibit the Commission from reclassifying broadband under Title II of the Communications Act.

Waxman Scrutinizes Traffic Pumping After Google Voice Inquiry

Mark Patterson
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops declared its support for Net Neutrality in 2006. At the time, it may have seemed like a more esoteric concept, but by the end of the following year, reports had come in that Comcast, one of the nation's largest Internet service providers, was purposely blocking peer-to-peer file sharing.
