Tim Wu Appointed Senior Advisor to FTC: Is This Net Neutrality's Big Chance?

Full article: Motherboard
Joshua Kopstein
The fight for Net Neutrality has been an uphill battle from the start. But with lame-duck representatives like FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski sitting back as corporate telecoms, throttle and further marginalize the principles of an open and equal Internet, perhaps the dispirited nature of the struggle is due in part to the absence of a strong leader figure advocating from the inside. That strong leader figure, if ever there was one, is Tim Wu, and he's just become the newest senior advisor of the Federal Trade Commission.

Fiona Morgan
Last month, the FCC approved rules that regulate Network Neutrality. Yet the rules, as written, seem to please almost no one. Opponents of regulation believe there is too much of it. Net Neutrality advocates believe the rules are too weak.
