The Free Press Legacy Society allows you to make tax-wise gifts to help Free Press, our 501c3 organization, reach our goal of creating a more diverse, democratic and accountable U.S. media system. Planned gifts provide the resources we need to succeed, and enable us to chart future programs and strategies. You don't have to be wealthy to make a planned gift.

Gifts to the Free Press Action Fund enable us to counteract the Big Media lobby that inundates the offices of elected officials on a daily basis.

The Free Press Action Fund relies on contributions from individuals to lobby on behalf of the public. By law, donations to organizations that lobby are not tax deductible. Your support is crucial: For every 100 industry lobbyists, there is only one public interest media lobbyist.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Because we lobby, gifts to the Free Press Action Fund, a 501(c)(4) organization, are not tax-deductible. Gifts to Free Press, our 501(c)(3) organization, are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. All gifts made online support the Free Press Action Fund.
