The president preserved funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in the 2012 budget. That is funding Republicans are trying to zero out in their version of funding the government through the rest of this year.

With only two working days before the FCC's Net Neutrality vote, Rep. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), joined by for other Democratic House members, have provided the commissioners with a wish list of what they say should be in that Internet regulation order: nondiscrimination, application to both wireline and wireless broadband, narrow exceptions for managed services, and a broad definition of Internet access services.
