End the Big Broadcast Swindle

Full article: SavetheNews.org
Libby Reinish
Television and radio broadcasters get to use our public airwaves for free. It's a great deal -- for them, at least. For the rest of us, it's just another corporate giveaway. It's time for the FCC to address these serious problems once and for all. We need to put the public interest back into the public airwaves. It begins with you.

Commissioner McDowell's Mistaken Views on Fairness Doctrine

Full article: Broadcasting & Cable
Henry Geller
In his recent speech to the Media Institute, Commissioner Robert McDowell warned against the return of the fairness doctrine and said that its return might put in jeopardy the entire broadcast regulatory scheme like children's TV rules. Former FCC General Council Henry Geller thinks the commissioner is wrong on several counts.

Public Airwaves Should Always Be Used to Best Serve the Public Interest

Robert Legge
It’s time for the FCC to reverse its "anything goes" ownership structure of media consolidation. If mainstream media can’t start serving the public interest, the FCC should grant localities the right to charge them for using our public airwaves.

Can the FCC Finally Sell the Airwaves That No One Wanted?
