D.C. Circuit Court's Opinion in Comcast v FCC
The D.C. Circuit Court overruled the FCC's decision to sanction Comcast in the 2007 'BitTorrent case' where Comcast blocked and degraded its users network traffic.
This ruling leaves the FCC unable to protect consumers in the broadband marketplace, and unable to implement important sections of the National Broadband Plan such as making policies to bring broadband to rural America, to promote competition, to protect consumer privacy or truth in billing.
Free Press advocates for immediate FCC action to re-establish legal authority.
