Apple has applied for a patent for technology that can detect when people are using their iPhone cameras and shut them down. Apple says it’s for policing live concert footage. But the introduction of such a technology could have terrible consequences. And college radio is disappearing from the airwaves across the country, and the trend is likely to continue. And Wisconsin became the first state in the country to give back federal funding for broadband buildouts for community institutions, thanks to AT&T.
