A Seattle Conversation on Net Neutrality and Digital Expansion
The future of the Internet is under consideration now at the FCC, with private industry, Congress and the federal courts getting in on the act. This month, Seattle will get to have our say as well! On Tuesday, April 27, FCC staff will join Reclaim the Media, Hidmo and other community organizations for an informal roundtable discussion on protecting an open Internet.
What protections are needed to keep the Internet a vibrant, affordable place where creativity and innovation can flourish--along with fairness and opportunity? Can cell phones and web TV be tools of creativity as well as commerce? Bring your questions and comments for the FCC! Featured speakers TBA.
The April 27 community meeting takes place the night before an official FCC Workshop on Preserving the Open Internet (9:30am at the Federal Building in downtown Seattle).
