Martin Kaplan, director of the Lear Center, is co-principal investigator, along with Seton Hall's Dr. Matthew Hale, on this unprecedented study of more than 11,000 news stories aired by eight LA TV stations. FCC Commissioner Michael J. Copps – who has criticized the FCC for being “a paper tiger” on station license renewals – and a panel will respond. Also: what a companion study of the LA Times found.
