House Opens Radio Dial to Low-Power Stations

The House unanimously passed the Local Community Radio Act, a bill sponsored by Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Penn.) intended to open up the airwaves to low-power stations. The bill, if it passes the Senate, would allow FM stations in the same area to be three "clicks" apart rather than the current four, allowing the FCC to give out broadcast licenses to more stations.
