Low Power FM Radio Is on the Move in Congress

The bipartisan Local Community Radio Act is scheduled for a vote on Oct.8 in the House Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet. The long-awaited bill would finally allow the nationwide expansion of noncommercial, community-based Low Power FM stations, run by community groups, schools and religious organizations.
