In producing what has now become a familiar parliamentary melee once again, the governing camp in Korea has just opened the door for big businesses and newspapers to run broadcasters. The so-called media reform bills will do little to prevent Korea's largest business groups and newspapers, or their consortia, from near-monopolizing the media market -- and public opinion.
