Data-mapping organization Connected Nation's board is made up of telecom industry heavyweights. The data in Connected Nation's map comes entirely from the companies themselves, and there's no consumer survey to verify that assumption. And the map lumps together several forms of "broadband" and does not indicate which type of service is available in a given area.
