Radio Spectrum Inventory Act

The Radio Spectrum Inventory Act was introduced by Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) and Communications Subcommittee Chair Henry Boucher (D-Va.). The bill would require the National Telecommunications and Information Administration and the Federal Communications Commission to take inventory of the radio spectrum bands they manage, identify least utilized blocks of spectrum, recommend whether any spectrum should be reallocated and create a website to make the spectrum inventory publicly available. Free Press strongly supports this bill.
