Half of U.K. Local and Regional Papers Could Shut by 2014

Up to half of the U.K.'s local and regional newspapers could shut within the next five years as revenues continue to decline, an analyst warned. Newspapers would close across Britain as revenues decline by as much as 52 percent between 2007 and 20013, the analyst said.
