New York Times Does Not Plan to Close Boston Globe

The New York Times Co. said it does not plan to close the Boston Globe, after the paper's largest union rejected a $10 million package of concessions aimed at cutting costs. The company's statement removes fears that the paper would be shut down, but does not resolve resentment among the union members.
