Slingbox, the video player that allows customers to watch their own TV or DVR over the Internet, will be released as an iPhone application -- but will only be allowed to work via Wi-Fi. Bandwidth may not be the only issue at play: AT&T is rumored to be working on their own iPhone/U-Verse place shifting system.
