FairPoint CEO's Base Pay Jumps 30 Percent

Fairpoint CEO Eugene Johnson saw a 30 percent increase in base salary, while six other top managers saw raises averaging 23 percent. Normally this could be considered a nice reward for a job well done, but so far the carrier has botched the acquisition of Verizon's New England network.
