ISPs Want to Shut the Gate on Broadband Freedom of Choice

In North Carolina, Greenlight Broadband customers enjoy broadband speeds of 10 Mbps from their residential service. The local cable company provides less than half that amount. But a state bill has been introduced that would stop cities from providing broadband. The bills say they are leveling the playing field. But they are really designed to protect cable monopolies in the state.
