Morganton Officials Oppose N.C. Bill that Burdens Muni Broadband

City officials in Morganton, N.C., say they oppose cableco- and telco-sponsored bills introduced in both the state House and Senate that are meant to "level the playing field" between private communication companies and cities and towns who offer competing cable and broadband services. The bills place unfair burdens on municipal systems.
