Face of Local TV News Changed by Heavy Cutbacks

Huge job cuts, brought on by the harshest economic crisis in years, are altering the on-air face of New York's local newscasts. Local news stations are axing veteran on-air anchors, reporters, cameramen, editors and producers on what seems like a weekly basis since last fall. And the cuts are evident on screen in substantial ways.
