Lessons from NPR

Endowing news organizations is not a new idea. NPR employs more than 400 journalists in 36 bureaus -- 17 of them overseas. Noncommerical and nonprofit, this living, breathing example of what some journalists are imagining to be revolutionary also serves to refute some of those journalists ideas about the endowment model.
