Five of Color Out at Los Angeles Times

In the third cutback of the year, 75 staff are losing their jobs at the Los Angeles Times. Five of those are writers of color. In his farewell note, black journalist John Mitchell said he was the last African American male on the Metro staff and that there were none on the National or Foreign staffs.
