Verizon Says Shame Will Keep Your Web Data Private

Verizon is claiming that self-regulation works because corporations can be shamed into listening to their customers and behaving properly. But the argument that shame will protect users' online privacy doesn't hold up given the lack of competition and transparency in the ISP marketplace.
