A different way of covering an election

It's already clear that is election isn't going to be like others so we need to think about how to cover it differently. I'm not talking about replacing what's out there, but at least adding to it.

An army of community bloggers can give snapshots of how their hometowns see the election. And enough of them together can present a fuller picture of the campaign. Check out Patchwork Nation and my blog on the site.

Patchwork Nation is a completely open-source project that involves crunching demographic numbers, mapping communities and local bloggers.

I want introduce the site at the conference and explain how others can use it themselves to look at their own communities.

See you all there.
