The Questions Unasked

I believe that because of media consolidation and corporate control of the media, we don't hear what I call the questions unasked. It has been happening on the news shows and, more recently, in the primary debates.

There is a disproportionate amount of coverage of campaign strategy, personalities, voter preference and polls and some surface coverage of some issues like Iraq, national healthcare and immigration. However, there are many other questions that I would like to hear. For example, even if there were WMD, there was no imminent threat from Iraq which is a requirement for a pre-emptive attack. Did we violate international in attacking Iraq even if there were WMD?

I'd like to know what the candidates think about media consolidation, The Telecommunications Act of 1996 and net neutrality. What do they think about the unitary executive theory, executive privilege, executive orders and signing statements? What do they think are the powers of the president as commander-in-chief?

There are many more questions. The point is that many important questions are not being asked. I would like freepress to attempt to speak to members of the mainstream media and try to get them asked.
