Teens Turn Out to Tell Big Media They Won't Take Any More

In the lead up to the December 18th FCC vote, in which Chairman Martin and Commissioners McDowell and Tate voted to let the biggest media companies buy up more local stations in communities across the country, there was an increadible surge in citizen activism.
One of the most surprising developments during that time was the outrage exhibited by Harry Potter fans who saw parrellels between what the evil wizards and the FCC. After seeing teh disasterous consequences of media consolidation in the wizarding world of Harry Potter, these fans were intent on not letting the same thing happen in our world.
In addition to writing songs about Big Media, taking a public stand at the Stop Big Media wall, and signing the petition, some Harry Potter fans also made videos to spread the word about this important issue. These young activists turned to YouTube to tell their friends about media consolidation and call on their peers to take action.
It is truly inspiring to see these teenagers speaking out so passionately about the media. Here are links to a few of the videos, and one is embeded below.
