Don't Tune Us Out: Support Local Radio

Yesterday's Nashville Tennessean features several articles on the importance of Low Power FM (LPFM) radio for local communities:

We need more diverse and independent radio stations across the country and we now have the opportunity to get it -- by reclaiming the public airwaves for local communities. You can help by telling your member of Congress to open the airwaves for LPFM. Tell Rep. Cooper: Pass the Local Community Radio ActThe "Local Community Radio Act of 2007" (HR 2802) will expand opportunities for community groups, schools and churches to build their own local LPFM radio stations. With this legislation, Congress has the power to create hundreds -- if not thousands -- of new LPFM radio stations across the country. You can also help us get more people involved in this important effort. Please tell your friends, family and colleagues to send letters in support of LPFM: Tell Five Friends to Take ActionLet's make sure Congress hears us loud and clear: We want more local radio now!
