stic.man, a music producer, book publisher, entrepreneur, actor, film director,and one-half of the rap duo dead prez, has remained a staple in the entertainment business for nearly a decade. After releasing their debut album, Let’s Get Free, stic and his partner, M-1, were honored for “Lyrics of the Year” and nominated for “Best New Rap Duo” of 2000 by The Source. dead prez’s popularity spawned a documentary titled Bigger Than Hip Hop, and their music was featured as the opening theme song for the The Dave Chappelle Show. stic is also the CEO of Boss Up Inc., a dead prez-inspired music and entertainment company (www.bossupbu.com) that offers information, music and gear. stic is the author and publisher of the books Warrior Names from Afrika and The Art of Emcee-ing. stic is the founder and editor-in-chief of Ammo Magazine. He is currently writing and producing for the upcoming album Nigger and is also a featured actor in the film The Black Panther Blood Ties. stic is the director and editor of the Afrikan martial arts documentary The Way of the Black Fist, and is starring in the forthcoming Miramax martial arts flick Slum 13.
