Garlin Gilchrist II

Garlin Gilchrist II is a leader, community organizer, activist, engineer, writer and entrepreneur. A native of Detroit, Gilchrist is now based in Seattle. Gilchrist created Opportunity Technology, a socially responsible technology training and consulting business. He blogs at The Super Spade: Black Thought at the Highest Level, on political and cultural events, at the Northwest Progressive Institute on technology policy and civil rights, and is a writer/blog host for Brave New Films. Gilchrist speaks regularly around the country in front of audiences as large as 5,000 on issues of social consciousness and responsible uses of technology.
