Mike Rogers is the blogger/publisher of BlogActive.com, a site that reports on closeted hypocrites in the government who work against the gay and lesbian community. Rogers also maintains a news and information Web site, PageOneQ.com, and is the founder of Proud Of Who We Are, which holds government officials accountable for their truth. Prior to his work on the Web, Rogers was a fundraiser for almost 20 years. He was development coordinator at New York's Hetrick-Martin Institute and Harvey Milk School; managed the development and donor programs at the Funding Exchange; was the director of development at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and major gifts manager at Greenpeace. Rogers has been an activist since the mid-1980s, when he was involved in campaigns against apartheid and for student voting rights. Rogers’ activism includes work with ACT-UP and the launching of a successful campaign against McDonald's when the multinational tried to displace workers in his Washington, D.C., neighborhood. Rogers has also been a neighborhood activist and tenant organizer. He has appeared on CNN, The O'Reilly Factor and National Public Radio. His work has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and Chicago Tribune.
