Jeffrey Davis
Jeff Davis is a senior public broadcasting executive with a strong foundation in business, law and technology. He joined the Association of Public Television Stations (APTS) in June 2002 and was named vice president for communications in October 2003. He interacts with member stations, the national and local media, and with legislative and federal officials conveying public television's business and policy agendas. Jeff embraces the digital transition as a venue for the creation of new programming and services for television viewers. As a vice president at APTS, he works with the leadership of public television stations to pursue the opportunities digital broadcasting presents. Jeff is a veteran of Capitol Hill, having authored several pieces of legislation enacted into law through his tenure with Reps. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.) and Constance Morella (R-Md.). While with Representative Towns, Jeff was responsible for managing telecommunications legislations before the House Commerce Committee and with the Congressional Black Caucus' Telecommunications Braintrust. A member of the California Bar, Jeff practiced intellectual property law with Thelen, Reid & Priest and Weil, Gotshal & Manges in California's Silicon Valley. He also served as the general counsel and director of business development for a wireless telecommunications entity.
