Corrine Yu
Corrine Yu is senior counsel and managing policy director for the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (LCCR), the nation's oldest, largest, and most diverse civil and human rights coalition, and the coalition's education and communications arm, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights Education Fund (LCCREF). Yu is responsible for seeking and developing new program opportunities, coordinating policy development on priority issues and devising coalition-based strategies, and assisting in the day-to-day management of the policy department. Yu previously served as LCCREF's director of special projects, where she was responsible for developing concepts for, planning, and implementing initiatives for the organizations, and as director of education, with oversight responsibilities for all LCCR/LCCREF communications, publications, and research, including the expansion and design of civilrights.org, the organizations' award-winning Web site. Yu was previously director and counsel of the Citizens' Commission on Civil Rights, an organization established to monitor the civil rights policies and practices of the federal government and to examine important policy issues affecting equal opportunity. Prior to joining the Citizens' Commission, Yu was an attorney in the Washington office of Nixon, Hargrave, Devans and Doyle. She is a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School.
