Paul Schmelzer is managing editor/state director of Minnesota Monitor and the site's media writer. He received the Frank Premack Award for Public Affairs Journalism in 2008 and a 2nd Place Page One Award from the Society of Professional Journalists in 2007. A blogger at Eyeteeth.org, he also freelances on art, media and activism for publications like Adbusters, Alternet, Ode, Worldchanging.com, Raw Vision, Utne and others. He lives in North Minneapolis with his wife Mok and dog Chomsky.
