Sonali Kolhatkar

Uprising, Pacifica Radio

Sonali Kolhatkar is the founder, host and producer of Uprising, a daily morning drive-time program based at KPFK-FM, Pacifica Radio in Los Angeles. Uprising's weekly digest is syndicated to more than a dozen stations nationwide. She has reported for Pacifica from all over the world, including Brazil, India and Afghanistan, and she has been recognized by community organizations including the South Asian Network, Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee, and Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance for her work in radio. Sonali is also the co-director of the nonprofit organization, the Afghan Women's Mission, which works in solidarity with the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan.
