Linda Foley

Linda Foley, the first woman president of The Newspaper Guild-CWA, has been leading the Guild since 1995. She is also a vice president of the Communications Workers of America. Foley also has served as vice president of the International Federation of Journalists. A former copyeditor and reporter at the Lexington Herald-Leader, Foley also served as vice president of the Lexington-Bluegrass Central Labor Council when she was active in her local union. She is a member of the Free Press Action Fund board and board of advisers at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She was inducted into the Medill Hall of Achievement in 2005.
