This panel will tell the story of how the independent media are impacting politics, informing individuals, mobilizing communities and creating cultural shifts. A diverse cross-section of independent media leaders will share how they are breaking news, creating communities online and off, utilizing user-generated content, covering the 2008 election, and driving stories into the mainstream.
